2022 The Surveyor Cabernet Sauvignon
The Surveyor pays homage to John Riddoch Rymill, who led the British Graham Land Expedition to Antarctica in 1934-37, where he surveyed the Antarctic Peninsula.
The Surveyor is made up of a selection of the most striking barrels of Cabernet and is only produced from our best vintages.
In outstanding vintages, small parcels of our finest fruit are hand-selected, fermented in open vats, and matured in oak for 18–20 months. The 2022 vintage was chosen for its intensity, structure, and cellaring potential
AWARDS AND ACCOLADES
- Shanteh Wale - Halliday Wine Companion 2025, 96 points
"A spice box of exotic aromas. Boysenberry, sandalwood, clove and dried bilberries. Orange oil, shiso leaf and peppercorns. Fruit intensifies on the palate, opening with compact fruit sweetness and silky tannins that sweep across the expanse of your mouth. A granitic, stony shade leads to pimento and poppy seeds. The wine builds over time as assuredly as it seduces you. Alcohol, although high, is well interwoven into the wine. It's a seamless concoction of superstar fruit and Coonawarra soul."
